Research and Implementation of Three-Dimensional Spatial Information Characterization and Visualization of Fractures in Deteriorated Sandstone

Primary fractures significantly impacted the stability of surrounding rock in underground projects. Therefore, it is vital to find a solution for problem performing non-destructive detection rocks and extracting internal three-dimensional (3D) data field visualization analysis. To address this problem, paper proposed method 3D reconstruction complex cracks deteriorated sandstone developed program based on MATLAB. This work carried out image recognition CT scan images sandstone, then implemented surface technique object cross-section information, contour point cloud Graphical User Interface (GUI) control system that combines these three techniques. The results showed techniques GUI were capable precisely marking location coordinate accurately describing their shape with vector. With only 10 images, constructed digital core, core can quantitatively characterize influence primary rock. Additionally, calculated very close Avizo. realized quantitative characterization structure offered model analyzing stress-fracture-seepage change during excavation.
